J. Laurent and Portugal

The Directorate-General for the Archives/Portuguese Center of Photography and the Portuguese Association Photographia are pleased to invite you to the opening of the exhibition J.Laurent and Portugal: Photographs of the 19th Century, that will take place at the National Archives of Torre do Tombo, on April 13th, at 6.30 p.m.

J. Laurent (1816-1886)  was one the most important photographers working in Spain during the 19th century. In 1869 he travelled through Portugal, taking more than 400 photos in several formats. It is part of this work that is shown in this exhibition.
